Michael’s 25 years of experience teamed with his attention to detail and ability to engage with his clients have enabled MJB Sets to be an industry leader in design and construction.

Following in the steps of his father, who was a set carpenter for the ABC in Sydney for 13 years, Michael gained his carpentry and joinery qualifications after finishing his apprenticeship at Garden Island as a ships joiner. Soon after, he joined the Seven Network, where he gained an in depth knowledge of the Television industry. In the 8 years he was with Seven he became a senior set Carpenter and during this time worked on many popular  shows including A Country Practice, All Saints, Home and Away and Denton.

In 1997, Michael incorporated MJB Set Construction P/L and started in a small workshop north of Sydney. His craftsmanship soon awarded him with work which included Seven Sydney Olympics 2000, Always Greener  and in 2001 he moved to larger premises to enable growth and more projects.

In 2008 Michael moved MJB Sets to the current workshop in Auburn to enable further growth and larger scale projects.
